WHAT IS A CCTV SYSTEM?
A closed Circuit Television System (CCTV) is the use of video cameras to send signals to a particular place on a number of monitored displays.
Its major benefit is the ability to monitor buildings, commercial and industrial premises from a remote location and they are much more cost effective than traditional guarding by specialist security firms.

WHAT TYPES OF CAMERAS ARE AVAILABLE?
- STATIC
Located in a fixed position focussing on one specific area which requires static coverage - DOME
This camera is used extensively in businesses and within retail premises, but can be used externally, mounted on ceilings and walls - PAN, TILT AND ZOOM (PTZ)
The functionality of the camera means it can be operated from a remote location. Its primary application is for large areas which would require a large number of static cameras which will prove costly - C-MOUNT
A major advantage of a C-Mount camera is the ability to change lenses. If you need to see upward of 35ft then the camera will require a special lens, available from 4mm to 50mm. A 4mm lens provides facial detail and a 70 degree angle of view focussed up to approximately 35ft. Applications for a fixed 4mm lens includes a small office or at home for monitoring of driveways - BULLET
This contains the same electronic components as C-Mount cameras but with modifications to fit in bullet weatherproof casing - COVERT/SPY CAMERA
Ideal for capturing images covertly. They can be supplied analogue or IP and offer Mega Pixel resolutions - VANDAL RESISTANT
Offering resistance to vandalism and designed to keep working even when coming under attack - WIRELESS
Provide all the same principles of a standard hardwired system, but without the wire. The video/audio signals are transmitted through a radio band
