Finance Assistant Apprentice Job

Job Overview:

As a Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to the accounting department and gaining practical experience and qualifications, initially to Level 2, in financial management. This entry-level position is deal for individuals looking to kickstart their career in accounting and finance.

Kay Responsibilities:

  • Assist in entering financial transactions into the accounting system.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Assist in analysing financial data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in creating and sending invoices to clients.
  • Follow up on outstanding payments and support the accounts receivable process.
  • Aid in processing vendor invoices and ensuring timely payments.
  • Assist in reconciling vendor statements.
  • Assist in maintaining organised financial files and documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow within the department.
  • Work towards understanding and adhering to relevant accounting regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of documentation for audits.
  • Answer inward calls and help direct the call to the relevant department.
  • Actively participate in apprenticeship training enhance accounting knowledge.
